Council grant opportunities

Each year, Council sets aside funds for grants and sponsorships through its annual budget to support our community’s goals. These funds help bring our Council Plans and Strategies to life by:

  • Supporting local businesses to grow and thrive.
  • Creating and sharing unique, high-quality and enriching experiences across the Northern Grampians Shire.
  • Ensuring our community has access to a rich variety of arts, cultural activities and entertainment. 
  • Promoting and improving the health and wellbeing of our community.
  • Fostering gender equality and inclusive opportunities for everyone.
  • Celebrating and enabling diversity and supporting a welcoming, connected community.
  • Empowering local groups and organisations to deliver great programs and activities for our residents.
  • Protecting and celebrating our natural environment, cultural and heritage assets. 

 

Community Grants

CLOSED | Opens 16 February 2026.
Council's Community Grants support not-for-profit groups and organisations to provide activities, programs and projects based on current community needs and priorities.

Minor Grants

Council's Minor Grants allows community groups and organisations to apply for funding for specific one-off activities or projects. Re-opening in July, 2026.

Community Events Grants

Council's Community Events Grants allow community groups and organisations to host local events for under 500 people with the primary purpose of connecting and celebrating the local community.

Tourism Grants

Council's Tourism Grants provides funding and support to event organisers to host tourism events which boost economic growth within the Northern Grampians Shire.

Arts and Culture Grants

Council's Arts and Culture Grants are designed to support local projects that increase participation in arts and culture, raise the profile or
celebrate the place where art and culture are created.
