What does the MEMPC do?

The Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee's main responsibility is to create and maintain the Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP) and relevant sub plans listed below. 


Municipal Emergency Management Plan

The Municipal Emergency Management Plan details prevention, response and recovery arrangements for emergencies within the shire.

Municipal Fire Management Plan

The Municipal Fire Management Plan contains plans and input from the council, the Country Fire Authority, Forest Fire Management Victoria, GWM Water, the Department of Transport, Victoria Police, and other key stakeholders. The Municipal Fire Management Plan is a sub-plan of the Municipal Emergency Management Plan.

Municipal Emergency Animal Welfare Plan

The Municipal Emergency Animal Welfare Plan assists in the coordination of animal welfare support for domestic animals and livestock, before, during, and after an emergency within the shire. The Municipal Emergency Animal Welfare Plan is a sub-plan of the Municipal Emergency Management Plan.

Municipal Flood and Storm Emergency Plan

The Municipal Flood and Storm Emergency Plan details arrangements for the preparation, response and recovery from flood and storm events. The Municipal Flood and storm Emergency Plan is a sub-plan of the Municipal Emergency Management Plan.
