Immunisation Program

Immunisation is an effective way to protect yourself and your loved ones against disease. Immunisation programs also help to reduce the spread of infectious diseases in our community.

Northern Grampians Shire Council's Immunisation Service provides free immunisations to children up until their fifth birthday as well as adolescent immunisations usually administered during Year 7 and Year 10 or age equivalent in accordance with the National Immunisation Program Schedule (NIP). Please bring your child's Health and Development Record, known as the green book, and your child's Medicare card to the appointment.

From January 2026 until end of June 2026, we are pleased to provide free measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) immunisations to eligible adults aged 20 to 59 years in partnership with the Grampians Public Health Unit and the Department of Health.

For Japanese Encephalitis Immunisations for infants, children and adults, please contact us by calling (03) 5358 9060 or email immunisation@ngshire.vic.gov.au.
