Council will advocate for aged care services in the municipality to be transitioned to local service providers, namely Grampians Community Health and East Wimmera Health Service, following a decision made at the July council meeting in Stawell. There are no immediate changes to any services for current clients and no action required for now.
Victoria has transitioned to a new online administration system called the Accessible Parking Permit (APP) Scheme. The online system is now live and Northern Grampians Shire residents and organisations who require these permits can apply directly at accessibleparking.vic.gov.au
The $30 administration fee is no longer payable now the new system is in place.
The APP Scheme will streamline the application process, making it easier, simpler and consistent across the state. The new permit also will better align with the COAG 2010 Australian Disability Parking Permit Scheme (ADPS).
* A paper-based version of the application is available if you do not have access to a mobile phone or the internet. Please contact customer service on 03 5358 8700 if you require a paper form.
