The Municipal Public Health Emergency Management Plan aims to protect the community and emergency management personnel from public health risks generated by an emergency or incident and to be proactive in taking preventative action to minimise the spread of potential public health risks.

The Council Order pursuant to Section 26 of the Domestic Animal Act 1994 allows Council to control the presence of dogs and cats in public places and designates three locations as off-leash areas.

The Waste Action Plan details the actions to be implemented over the next ten years to achieve the Waste Management Strategy objectives.

The strategy sets out the strategic direction for arts and culture development in the municipality.

The Northern Grampians Shire Council, as part of its emergency management planning responsibilities, has established an Influenza Pandemic Plan. The plan addresses prevention, response and recovery for an influenza pandemic within the shire.

The Rural Road Safety Plan identifies key road safety issues within the municipality and establishes actions to address the safety issues.

Councils must prepare a Part II Statement under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and ensure that it is published and made available to the public.

The General Local Law provides for the peace, order and good governance of the municipality, a safe and healthy environment, protection and enhancement of amenity, fair and reasonable use of private land and protection of assets vested in Council.

The Great Western Public Park and Gardens Reserve Redevelopment Master Plan outlines the following:

● The key strategies to improve health and well-being.
● A plan for the provision, development and management of the recreation facilities.
● Future development of Great Western
● Priorities for improvements at the reserve.

Using these data, this report concludes with a set of recommendations to inform any future migration-related programs or activities.
