A Community Event is considered a smaller local event with the primary purpose of celebrating and connecting the local community
We are looking for events and activities that help bring our community together in at least one of the following ways:
Eligible groups can apply for up to $1500. Applications are open throughout the year until all available funding has been allocated.

If you are a local business that has an idea that will benefit the broader community and the idea is not-for-profit, please contact the Community Development team to discuss your eligibility by calling (03) 5358 0512 or emailing community@ngshire.vic.gov.au.
Before submitting your application, please take a few minutes to read the Community Event Grant Guidelines. They provide important information about the purpose of the grant, what the funds can be used for, and the application and assessment process.

Stawell Orchid Society held the Orchid Society’s first Orchid Seminar, providing an opportunity for people to learn, connect, and share their interest in orchids and gardening.
Stuart Mill Progress Association held a Community Christmas Gathering bringing residents together to celebrate and connect.
Glenorchy Memorial Hall Committee held a Community Good Friday appeal which is the towns biggest event of the year.
Stawell Railway Station Art Gallery used funding to contribute towards the 150 years Anniversary of Official Opening of the Stawell Railway Station.
