The Northern Grampians Shire Council is dedicated to offering high-quality inclusive early years programs and facilities throughout the shire, catering to every stage from playgroup to daycare, kindergarten, and primary school. 

We recognise that the early years of a child's life are the most important for learning and development. It is during this time that the foundations for the future are laid, and where we begin moving down the path that will guide us from infancy through childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood.

Immunisation Program

Information about the council's immunisation program within the shire, including date availability in St Arnaud and Stawell.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten marks a crucial milestone in a child's developmental journey and is strongly recommended for all children. Early education helps set children up for a bright future where children learn skills that they'll take with them throughout their life.

Long Day Care

There are many long day care options within Northern Grampians Shire. Long day care services provide quality full-day or part-time
care for children of working families and the general community.

Maternal and Child Health

Maternal and Child Health (MCH) is a free service available to support families with children from birth to school age. Visits to your Maternal and Child Health Nurse focus on discussing topics to meet your families' needs.

Playgroup

Playgroup is a great way for young children to access learning and play opportunities. Attending playgroup is also a wonderful way for parents to relax with a cuppa and make new friends.
