Northern Grampians Shire residents can influence council's 2026/27 budget by reviewing and providing feedback on the proposed council plan year two priorities. This process is different from previous years where residents traditionally had an opportunity to provide submissions to a draft budget. Feedback closes at 4pm Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

The Grampians Multicultural Hub (GMH) was established in 2023 to welcome, connect, and support multicultural communities within the Northern Grampians Shire.
Many newly arrived and long-term residents from culturally diverse backgrounds face challenges making new social connections and developing local support networks.
As discovered through council's Multicultural Action Plan Survey, which was conducted in November 2023, Stawell is home to people from over 40 different nationalities with 71% of respondents born overseas and 55% speaking a language other than English at home. GMH acknowledges that as our community continues to grow, so does the need for stronger multicultural connections.
