Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre runs an extensive Group Fitness Timetable with unlimited access to our Bronze - Group Fitness, Silver - Gym/Group Fitness, Silver Group Fitness/Aquatic and Gold Members.

Our timetable consists of live classes taught by our trainers and exercise physiologist.

Live Classes

Active Aging - designed by our in-house Exercise Physiologist to keep our over 50's moving, mobile and strong.

FIT30 - a functional movement focused session using equipment in circuit-style to train your whole body.

HIIT - get the squad together for one of our signature HIIT classes.

Metafit™ - combines traditional bodyweight exercises with the latest HIIT training techniques to set the metabolism on fire! 

RIP - rapid fat-burning class that incorporates weights to tone and condition your body.

Strength - a technical strength session where we slow down the tempo and increase the weight.

Yoga - In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity and ease of movement. The class is 60 minutes in total; 45 minutes of physical work followed by 15 minutes of meditation.

MetaPWR™ - MetaPWR™ is a unique 30 minute metabolic resistance workout from Metafit™. Metabolic resistance training is one of the best, most intense strategies for building muscle, burning fat and improving fitness. Take your conditioning workouts to another level with MetaPWR™ .

Fitball - This is a fun 45 minute class combining cardio with muscle and core conditioning. Participants utilise a Fitball to engage different muscle groups and get in shape quickly.

Boogie Bounce - Boogie Bounce is a complete exercise program on a mini trampoline, with a safety T-bar handle, choreographed to an electric mix of tracks from across the decades. Boogie Bounce delivers a full body cardio workout that is suitable for everyone. All ages and fitness levels are encouraged to give this class a go.

Gentle Aqua -The warmth from the indoor pool has a relaxing effect on the body and can decrease blood pressure, tension and pain. This class allows you to move and work at your own pace. The class begins with a warmup followed by a combination of aerobics, strength, balance and stretching exercises.

Water Aerobics -Water Aerobics is a low impact but high intensity class. The class is designed to improve flexibility, range of motion, strength, muscle tone and cardiovascular endurance. While using the resistance of the water to cushion the feet, knees and back.





SSAC is happy to provide clinical Exercise Physiology services to the greater Stawell community.
Our resident Exercise Physiologist Brett Hargreaves has been practicing for 8 years and is proud to service the town he grew up in.
Brett can help with chronic disease and injury management using individualised exercise programs to empower people to take control of their health. Examples of conditions and injuries include back pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, return to work/sport and a plethora of other conditions requiring rehabilitation. 
No referrals are necessary, and Brett accepts all referrals including DVA, Medicare, Workcover, TAC and GP.

Private training

Personal Trainers create and deliver safe and effective exercises for individuals and groups. They motivate clients by collaborating to set goals, focus on form and technique, provide meaningful feedback and being a reliable source of accountability.

If you would like to elevate your current fitness level to a whole other level, come and meet our trainers; Penny and Jo.

Our state-of-the-art gym has the equipment to help you achieve your fitness goals, whatever they may be.

We have an extensive collection of free-weights, plus 13 purpose-built Technogym strength machines, a triple-cell matrix and deadlifting platform for serious lifting. 

Cardio-enthusiasts are well catered for with a range of treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, bikes and step machines available.

We haven't forgotten the fun toys, with skipping ropes, power bags, sleds, tyres, boxing bags, battle ropes and more.

When you're done, we have accessible toilets and showers available 24/7.


With 24/7 access to the gym, we are now offering complete flexibility for our members. We understand that we all have different routines and schedules, so we are thrilled to offer this additional service to all our gym members. The gym has been fitted with high-quality duress alarms, security and emergency equipment, and members undertake an induction prior to access.  This is absolutely critical to our commitment to the safety of all our members. 

Access through our 24/7 door will only be possible when the facility is closed to the public
