A range of new grants funding and sponsorship programs are available to support your local project, event or business idea.
Council has committed to the following grant programs for the current financial year to encourage local participation, economic vibrancy and wellbeing:
Only one application per organisation is permitted per financial year across all of the streams.
Please contact the Community Development Team to discuss your idea prior to completing an application and to make sure you select the most suitable funding stream.
Grants submitted by the first Tuesday of each month will generally be assessed the fourth Tuesday of the same month by the NGSC grants assessment panel.
Applications for the next round of open grants needs to be received by council no later than 5pm 1 June 2021.
The Northern Grampians Shire Council’s Business Support program provides businesses with the opportunity to work collaboratively with the council to enhance and develop the capacity of local businesses. The council provides grants to businesses that support economic growth and redress challenges experienced by local businesses.
Neoen Australia, owner of Bulgana Green Power Hub, is committed to contributing to the Northern Grampians Shire community by providing financial support to community groups to build capacity and grow the region. Each year, through the Bulgana Green Power Hub Community Fund, Neoen Australia will invest funds in groups/organisations through an open and competitive process.
The Community Grants Program provide applicants with the opportunity to undertake locally-based projects that can demonstrate a positive impact on health, wellbeing and community participation.
The Events Grants Program provides applicants with the opportunity to host local events that; address local needs, encourage civic participation, celebrate community, boost the economy and increase visitation to the Northern Grampians Shire.
The Minor Grants Program provides businesses, sole traders, community groups and individuals with the opportunity to apply for specific one-off projects.
The Sponsorships and Contributions Program provides the opportunity for locally-based groups and organisations to run projects that support community wellbeing, encourage community participation or bring economic benefit to the Northern Grampians Shire. Applicants can request a sponsorship or contribution of up to $3,000 per annum with a maximum of a three-year term.
The Stronger Partnerships Program provides the opportunity for collaboration between businesses, community groups and organisations to undertake local projects that enhance community pride, economic growth and civic participation and test new initiatives in the Northern Grampians Shire.
