Minor Grants Program

The Minor Grants Program is to support one-off specific projects by individuals, businesses, sole traders and community groups residing within the Northern Grampians Shire. 

The Minor Grants Program aims to encourage:

  • community participation

  • health and wellbeing

  • business development

and to:

  • positively represent Northern Grampians Shire
  • enhance civic participation

Grant value

Up to $500



Eligibility criteria

Applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

All applications must:

  • be submitted online

  • provide a project budget

  • meet one of the objectives on the Minor Grants Program

Applications will not be eligible if:

  • the applicant is outside of the Northern Grampians Shire

  • the funding is clearly the responsibility of other spheres of Government eg Small Business Victoria, Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions

  • the project duplicates other locally available services or resources 

  • the project has already commenced

  • applications are for ongoing or recurrent funding

Timing availability

2021/22 financial year, until all funds have been expended.

Before completing any grant application forms you must:

  • speak to a member of council's Community Development Team
  • read the program guidelines
  • meet the eligibility of this grant

Note: It is a condition of the grant that any contributions made by council towards the staging of the activity or project, must be acknowledged.
