Gym

The SSAC gym is currently open to the public during the following hours:

Monday to Thursday: 6am-7pm

Fridays: 6am-6pm

Sunday: 8am-10am

All members and guests must check-in through the main reception of the facility. Outside these hours our 24/7 members may access the gym through the 24/7 access door. Please note 24/7 door access is not available during open hours.

Services available include:

Group

SSAC run an extensive Group Fitness Timetable with unlimited access to our Gym and Health and Wellness members. Due to limited spaces we recommend booking your spot in class either via the MyWellness app or by calling the centre on (03) 5358 0550.

Our timetable consists of "live" classes taught by our trainers and exercise physiologist and scheduled Fitness on Demand Classes throughout the day.

Live Classes

Active Aging - Class designed by our in house Exercise Physiologist to keep our over 50's moving, mobile and strong.

AM Athletes - Sport inspired class to get you moving like an elite athlete.

HIIT the Ground Running - a sprint intervals class designed to burn calories and build up running

HIIT Great Heights - High intensity class designed to help you jump into your week (or weekend) with plenty of plyometrics.

HIIT Squad - Get the Squad together for one of our signature HIIT classes.

Hi-Pi Flow - a combination of high intensity intervals, pilates, yoga and Animal Flow™ movements designed to increase stability, strength, and prevent injuries. 

Metafit™ - combines traditional bodyweight exercises with the latest HIIT training techniques to set the metabolism on fire!

Pilates Flow - a gentle combination of classical pilates and yoga movements designed to promote mobility, stability for all levels

RIP - rapid fat-burning class that incorporates weighrs to tone and condition the body

Strength - Slow down the tempo and increase the weight for this technical strength class

Water Aerobics - uses the resistance of the water & the impact of the pool floor to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength & balance.

Fitness on Demand Classes

Athletic HIIT Bootcamp - a high intensity, athletic bootcamp! No equipment needed and no repeated exercises!

Barre x Pilates Fusion - a fusion of cardio barre & Pilates.

Beginner Bodyweight Blast - You'll start with a set of core exercises, then alternate between lower-impact agility drills & more core work.

Bodyshred MMA Kickboxing - a heart pumping, killer MMA inspired kickboxing workout to incinerate calories and dramatically improve your physical conditioning.

Burn 250: Body weight workout- full body workout to sculpt your abs, arms, back, butt, chest, core, glutes, hips, legs, shoulders, thighs and more! 

Cardio Kickboxing - basic strikes & technique work, then you'll jump into 5 rounds of straight shadowboxing. Get ready to kick, punch, and torch major calories!

Mobility Yoga- Release all of your joint and muscle tension with this invigorating Mobility Yoga workout.  

Piloxing Extreme- combining boxing, pilates and dance this is a high intensity class that will get your muscles lean and long.

60min Flow -This 60-minute yoga flow is perfect for working your total body and focusing the mind. Roll your mat out and let's get to work!

 

Clinical

SSAC have recently added a qualified Exercise Physiologist, Brett Hargreaves to the team.

Brett has practiced as a qualified Exercise Physiologist for 7 years with experience in both an Allied Health and Private Practices. Brett returned home to Stawell and we were fortunate enough to have him come on board the SSAC team as our first allied health professional - his skills and knowledge allow us to provide much needed services to our community.

If you have any injuries, chronic health issues or any issues Brett's expertise will help you overcome them. His passion is in musculoskeletal issues, with particular interest in back and knee pain but his drive to stay up to date with the latest research helps him treat client with many other conditions.

Brett is available for consultation 5 days a week, and many insurance plans cover these sessions. Please speak with your insurance provider to see if yours does.

Our dedicated team of personal trainers and strength and conditioning coaches are here to help every step of the way. 

Our trainers are highly qualified in areas from body composition transformations, sports performance, martial arts, pilates, movement flows, injury prevention and rehabilitation, cognitive health and more. 

Personal training services include an all-encompassing approach to fitness, nutrition and mental resilience.

Fitness on Demand

 

SSAC are excited to introduce Fitness on Demand to the the Centre. This platform allows you to choose the fitness classes YOU want.. WHEN you want!!

With hundreds of classes you can access in our Fitness on Demand space or off your own smartphone through the Fitness on Demand App with the SSAC gym there is no excuses to stop you achieving your goals.

 

 

Our state-of-the-art gym has the equipment to help you achieve your fitness goals, whatever they may be.

We have an extensive collection of free-weights, plus 13 purpose-built Technogym strength machines, a triple-cell matrix and deadlifting platform for serious lifting. 

Cardio-enthusiasts are well catered for with a range of treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, bikes and step machines available.

We haven't forgotten the fun toys, with skipping ropes, power bags, sleds, tyres, boxing bags, battle ropes and more.

We understand the importance of stretching properly before and after a workout, so there is a dedicated area just for that.  When you're done, we have accessible toilets and showers available 24/7.

 

With 24/7 access to the gym, we are now offering complete flexibility for our members. We understand that we all have different routines and schedules, so we are thrilled to offer this additional service to all our gym members. The gym has been fitted with high-quality duress alarms, security and emergency equipment, and members undertake an induction prior to access.  This is absolutely critical to our commitment to the safety of all our members. 

 Due to COVID-19 regulations access through our 24/7 door will only be possible outside our open hours.

Mywellness is the connected wellness experience that helps you achieve your sporting, fitness and health goals in a fast, easy and fun way. As a member, you will be able to use the app to track your progress and motivate you to set new personal records.
