Please review the Victorian Government's Public Events Framework to determine if your tourism event is required to be registered with DHHS.
Visit our Events page to determine if you need to register your event with the council and to access the NGSC online Event Registration.
Why register your event with NGSC?
Promotion: Your event can be promoted across the shire via our events calendar on this website, on council's social media channels, and posters displayed in Shop 108 Stawell.
Safe: When you fill out an event registration form we will send this to all departments within council, including Planning, Building, Health, Infrastructure and Waste. This ensures every department is aware of what is happening and that you have the correct permits and permissions to run your event.
Support: During the planning process, we are here to assist you and provide guidance to make your event a success. If you are looking for advice, we are here to have a chat on the phone or meet up in person.
Northern Grampians Shire Council aims to promote, attract and support festivals, events and attractions that add value to the shire's economy (NGSC Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2017-21)
Northern Grampians provides the perfect backdrop for many events throughout the year. Our major events of the Stawell Easter Gift and Grampians Grape Escape draw large crowds from across the country and simply are not to be missed.
With an increasing number of community events, council is keen to play an active role in supporting these events to also become major attractions. We are here to support you in your event planning process and in promoting your event to help you reach a larger audience.
This form should take no more than 5-15 minutes to complete depending on the complexity of your event or venue hire request. You will be required (where applicable) to provide the following and we encourage you to have these documents ready before starting your application
