Skate Park Mural Family Day | Stawell

Enjoy a day out with the family at the Stawell Skate Park Mural Family Day from 11am on Thursday October 2,2025.

To celebrate the new mural, council is providing an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy some free activities including a Skate Park Jam, with the "Y" and Skate Park Leagues. The open jam session will be open to riders of all ages and skill levels. There will be heaps of product and prizes to giveaway for anyone willing to try their best. Extra skateboards and scooters will be available.

Grampians Community Health will have the smoothie bike and DJ Zachattack and DJ Rome from Grampians Youth Events/Amplify will be playing some tunes. There will be cupcake decorating and free pizza too!

The Skateboard Painting Workshop between 12pm and 2pm will allow you to design your very own custom skate deck with the legendary Blender Studios team. Your lead artist will guide you, sharing insider techniques, secret tricks, and helping you harness the raw energy of street art.

You will experiment with

paint,
markers,
brushes,
stencils,
and spray paint.

You will also be shown a range of techniques (layering, illustration, and street style lettering). Get inspired by authentic street art styles and graffiti culture, then design and paint your one-of-a-kind skateboard, and take home your masterpiece. No experience? No worries! Whether you are a total beginner or a creative pro, this workshop is all about self-expression, creative techniques, colours, and having fun.
