Following on from the success of our Northern Gramps Girls Can campaign last year where council lit up exercise spaces in the early mornings, several of the shire’s sporting facilities are due to light up again in 2026. Between May 4 and September 30, spaces in Stawell and St Arnaud will light up from 6pm to 7.30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and from 6am and 7am on Wednesday mornings.
Join the Walk Against Family Violence in St Arnaud on Friday 1 December and help create a future where we are all safe, equal and respected.
Starting at 3.30pm at the Queen Mary Gardens in St Arnaud. Walk through St Arnaud and finish with a free BBQ from 4pm - 5pm.
This event marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence – a global campaign for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
By joining the walk you can take action to prevent family violence and violence against women and stand in solidarity with victim-survivors.
People of all genders are welcome. Bring your workmates, friends, family, chosen family – and even your dogs! Wear orange if you can and bring a water bottle.
