How to pay your rates

To pay your rates now you will need your BPAY Reference Number as shown on your latest rate notice.

Pay Your Rates Now

Rates are payable by four quarterly instalments.

Reminder notices are issued prior to the respective due date of each instalment.

Current due dates of the instalments are:

  • Instalment one - 2 October
  • Instalment two - 30 November
  • Instalment three - 28 February
  • Instalment four - 31 May

Instalments not paid by the due date may incur interest at 10.0% per annum.

Electronic rate notice delivery

If you would prefer the convenience of having your rate notices delivered electronically, the council has two options for providing this service.

EzyBill

EzyBill is a secure and easy way to receive your rate notice direct to your email.  The email will contain the notice and a link to enable you to pay.

Log on or Register for EzyBill >

See our FAQ page for EzyBill for further information.

BPAY View

If you are already registered with your bank for BPAY you simply need to log onto your online banking site and register to receive Northern Grampians Shire Council rates accounts at the 'BPAY View' or 'View Bills' section. Once a registration is completed, you will receive an email notification when all future rate notices are delivered to your online banking mailbox.

Once registered for either EzyBill or BPAY View, all future rate notices will then be delivered to you electronically rather than by mail.

Direct debit

Instalment payments can be made by direct debit. Application forms must be lodged at least 14 days prior to the due date of the next instalment.

Direct debit payments may also be made fortnightly or monthly.  Before making a direct debit application for fortnightly or monthly payments, please contact the rating department for confirmation of the appropriate payment amount and the dates that these payments will be deducted.

Deductions can only be made from a nominated bank account, not a credit card.
