Minor Grants

Open from July 14, 2025.

A Minor Grant is for not-for-profit groups and organisations to support once-off and quick to implement activities or initiatives.

Applications for Minor Grants Program funding can be up to $700 per annum and need to be delivered within a three-month period of receiving the request.

The funding stream is open throughout the year and available until all funds have been expended.

Whilst there are no defined objectives you will need to explain how the requested funds will benefit your group or the broader community.

You can apply for funding if:

  • You are a registered not-for-profit group or organisation with an Incorporation Certificate and/or an ABN. If your group/organisation has neither of these an organisation that does can support, you as the legal entity.
  • You are based Northern Grampians Shire or demonstrate there is a direct benefit to the residents of, the Northern Grampians Shire. 

Before submitting your Minor Grants application, please remember to:

  • Read the Minor Grants Program Guidelines to understand your obligations and guide your application.
  • Speak to a member of the council's Community Development Team to ensure you are applying for the most suitable grant.
  • Get a quote for those expenditure (cost) items over $500.
