General Information

Meals are delivered 5 days a week and take roughly 25-30 minutes to deliver depending on how many meals are required that day. Meals are delivered at 11.30am each day from Stawell Regional Health.

You can volunteer as much or as little as you want, which can be one day a week, one day a month/year, whenever it suits you we appreciate any help.

If you are interested in being a Meals on Wheels volunteer, please give the Home and Community Care office a call on 5358 8700 to get yourself an information pack & the correct paperwork.

Volunteers are the backbone of the Meals on Wheels program and without them; we cannot provide this fantastic service to our clients in need.

Youth Action Council

The Northern Grampians Shire's first ever Youth Action Council was established in April 2013. You can meet our current members by clicking here. The YAC recently launched the shire's first ever Youth Strategy. The strategy has four key priorities, recreation and events health, safety and wellbeing, education and employment, leadership and community connections.

The YAC is being funded through the State Government’s Engage! Program which aims to help improve young people’s support networks and strengthen their connections with family, friends and peers. As part of the program the YAC manages various community projects and events. The group also provides opportunities for youth to volunteer, participate in mentoring and develop education and employment pathways.
