At December's council meeting in St Arnaud, council resolved to review future community care service options in light of sweeping aged care sector reforms. The decision follows Federal Government changes to the way aged care services are funded and delivered, with new rules coming into effect in November. You can find more via the link below.
The Raillery Hub Art Gallery is presenting a solo exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Liadaan.
Liadaan has won numerous awards, exhibits her work overseas, and was recently a finalist in the Maldon Portrait Prize.
Liadaan has drawn and painted all her life and was encouraged by and took lessons from her beloved artist father, Harry Thomas, who was a past student of Archibald Colquhoun. [Meldrum School]
Her primary medium is oil; however, she also enjoys working with pastels, gouache, and other drawing media. Her plein air work is a regular activity. She draws and paints from the model on a weekly basis. Sculpture is also part of her artistic life. The official opening is on Saturday, 23 August at 2pm.The gallery is open Friday to Sunday, 11am–4pm. Entry is free, all are welcome.
