As one of 31 Local Learning and Employment Networks funded by the Victorian State Department of Education and Training, we work with our community partners to facilitate programs and activities that help local youth engage in education, training and other opportunities.

We are currently searching for community volunteers to mentor young people enrolled in our MATES Mentoring and TAC L2P programs.

Our Mates Mentoring program operates in nine schools throughout the Northern Grampians Shire and Ararat and matches young people with positive role models from the community. You don’t need any special skills or experience to become a MATES mentor and the time commitment is just one hour a fortnight. Training for this very rewarding role is provided.

The Central Grampians TAC L2P Program operates across the Northern Grampians Shire, Ararat Rural City and Pyrenees Shire. Our TAC L2P mentors support young learners who have limited access to a supervising driver or vehicle. If you are a fully licensed driver over the age of 21 and you can commit to supervising one driver per week, we would love to hear from you. Free mentor training is provided.
