Several council grant funding streams are now open for applications including the Tourism Events Grant which closes on March 9, and the Community Grant, Arts and Culture Grant and Creative Education Fund which all close on March 31. A Tourism Action Group has formed from the community workshops to develop the St Arnaud Community Plan.
The group will lead the local Tourism Action Strategy to coordinate and capitalise on the existing assets including the gold mine trail, heritage buildings, showcase Indigenous heritage, Chinese heritage, historic sites, street art, silo mural, exhibitions, parks and gardens. The stunning grapevine streetscape enhances the overall vista of the town. With a well planned local tourism strategy, the high quality visitor experience can significantly benefit the local economy.

A council led project to support the community refine the 'St Arnaud brand' to utilise in marketing, promotion, tourism and wayfinding initiatives. This project will have expert support from Grampians Tourism.
