Council will advocate for aged care services in the municipality to be transitioned to local service providers, following a decision made at the July council meeting in Stawell. A Tourism Action Group has formed from the community workshops to develop the St Arnaud Community Plan.
The group will lead the local Tourism Action Strategy to coordinate and capitalise on the existing assets including the gold mine trail, heritage buildings, showcase Indigenous heritage, Chinese heritage, historic sites, street art, silo mural, exhibitions, parks and gardens. The stunning grapevine streetscape enhances the overall vista of the town. With a well planned local tourism strategy, the high quality visitor experience can significantly benefit the local economy.

A council led project to support the community refine the 'St Arnaud brand' to utilise in marketing, promotion, tourism and wayfinding initiatives. This project will have expert support from Grampians Tourism.
