Following on from the success of our Northern Gramps Girls Can campaign last year where council lit up exercise spaces in the early mornings, several of the shire’s sporting facilities are due to light up again in 2026. Between May 4 and September 30, spaces in Stawell and St Arnaud will light up from 6pm to 7.30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and from 6am and 7am on Wednesday mornings.

An iconic festival set in the heart of the stunning Grampians National Park (Gariwerd), Grampians Grape Escape is a celebration of Western Victoria’s finest wine, food, and music. The journey there is just as memorable, with some of Australia’s most breathtaking scenery along the way. Grampians Grape Escape (GGE) is one of Australia’s longest-running regional wine and food festivals, first held in 1992. Hosted at the foothills of the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park, GGE champions local producers, artisan food and wine makers and performers. The 2026 program spans three days, including Feel-Good Friday (live music), followed by the weekend village of 90+ exhibitors, guest chef appearances, wine masterclasses, family entertainment and the Barrique Auction.
