Council's annual Animal Registration Notices have been issued to pet owners with fees due by Friday, April 10. If your animal is deceased or its details have changed from those on the registration notice, please call us on (03) 5358 9096 to update your records. Agriculture Victoria is hosting upcoming farm business success workshops for farmers located in northern Victoria in July. The Setting Strategies for Farm Business Success workshops will be facilitated by Gavin Beever from Cumbre Consulting. Gavin has over 35 years of broad, practical experience in agricultural extension and farm management with a focus on creating high functioning teams who achieve their goals. The workshops are suitable for all members of a farm business. Participants will learn:
• what is an effective business plan and how to define success • cashflow management and dealing with downturns • managing and understanding human relationships • how to undertake a business fitness check • identifying success drivers and benchmarking
Also presenting at the workshops will be Agriculture Victoria Seasonal Risk Agronomist Dale Grey on understanding climate risks, Leading Biosecurity Officer Plants Jim Moran on farm biosecurity and Brendan Williams, Managing Director Autonomous Ag on the latest in AgTech.
