Following on from the success of our Northern Gramps Girls Can campaign last year where council lit up exercise spaces in the early mornings, several of the shire’s sporting facilities are due to light up again in 2026. Between May 4 and September 30, spaces in Stawell and St Arnaud will light up from 6pm to 7.30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and from 6am and 7am on Wednesday mornings.

The outdoor pool will close for the season as of close of business Thursday, April 2, 2026.
WATER SLIDES
Our water slides will close for the season as of close of business Thursday, April 2, 2026.
Hot weather: this is based on the 5pm weather forecast on the day prior to opening. If the forecast predicts 35 degrees or over for the following day, the outdoor pool will be available until 8pm.
Please note - extended hours will be at the discretion of the Duty Manager at the time, it will also depend on patronage and the availability of lifeguards based on the hours they have already worked.
Cold weather: this is also based on the 5pm weather forecast on the day prior to opening. If this forecast predicts 23 degrees or below for the following day, the outdoor pool will only be open for early morning lap swimming on Monday to Friday between 6am to 8am and will be closed on weekends.
