Following on from the success of our Northern Gramps Girls Can campaign last year where council lit up exercise spaces in the early mornings, several of the shire’s sporting facilities are due to light up again in 2026. Between May 4 and September 30, spaces in Stawell and St Arnaud will light up from 6pm to 7.30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and from 6am and 7am on Wednesday mornings.

Following on from the success of the Northern Gramps Girls Can campaign last year where council lit up exercise spaces in the early mornings, several of the shire’s sporting facilities are due to light up again in 2026.
Between May 4 and September 30, spaces in Stawell and St Arnaud will light up from 6pm to 7.30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and from 6am and 7am on Wednesday mornings.
The campaign aims to encourage community members to be active in safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces following the end of Daylight Saving Time.
Please allow up to 5 minutes for the lights to turn on as it is a manually triggered system which can sometimes have a slight delay.
If you have any questions about the campaign or wish to report a problem with the lights, please call us on (03) 5358 8700 or email ngshire@ngshire.vic.gov.au.
