Stawell Community Christmas Carols return for a festive evening

Published on 16 November 2023

The Stawell Entertainment Centre is set to come alive on the evening of Friday 15 December as the Stawell Community Christmas Carols return to delight families and friends with a community celebration of Christmas time.

This much-loved community event is brought to you through the collaborative efforts of the Northern Grampians Shire Council, Stawell Performing Arts Company Inc, Stawell Biz, Grampians Community Health, Grampians Youth Events, Stawell Neighbourhood House, Stawell Interchurch Council, and Stawell Brass Band.

The Community Carols will feature a wonderful line-up of school groups, local performers, and a special Stawell Business Christmas song contest, offering local businesses a chance to showcase their musical talents and creativity in their most festive way. Throughout the evening, there will be delicious snacks and refreshments available on-site, and a special appearance by Santa Claus to listen to Christmas wishes and spread the magic of the season, making it the perfect occasion for families and friends.

Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor, Cr Rob Haswell, expressed his gratitude to the large group of event contributors for reviving the Community Christmas Carols event. He said, “A lot of hard work, planning and organisation is going into transforming the entertainment centre into a hub of festive cheer, promising an unforgettable and a must attend evening of joy, music and community fun for everyone.

“As we wind towards the end of 2023, let us come together as a community to make this Christmas truly special,” Cr Haswell added.
