Following on from the success of our Northern Gramps Girls Can campaign last year where council lit up exercise spaces in the early mornings, several of the shire’s sporting facilities are due to light up again in 2026. Between May 4 and September 30, spaces in Stawell and St Arnaud will light up from 6pm to 7.30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and from 6am and 7am on Wednesday mornings.

Join the Christmas festivities at Market Square (behind Town Hall) on Saturday, December 13 at the 'St Arnaud Carols at the Square'. Featured acts include; - Primary School & St Patrick's Singers and Musicians, Ukelele Group, St Arnaud Citizens' Band and Local Line Dancers. This free event has been brought to the community by Vision St Arnaud - local churches working together to benefit the community. Everyone is welcome to attend (please be seated at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start), BYO your rugs, chairs etc. Battery operated 'candles' will be made available for sale ($3.00 each). We'll see you there! Please note, this is an alcohol-free event. Note, in the case of extreme (heat / wet) weather the event will be held at the RSL Hall (corner of Raglan Street & Mc Mahon Street, St Arnaud).
