Council has four funding streams open for applications for eligible community, sporting and not-for-profit groups with suitable event, initiative or project ideas. Our Community Events Grant, Minor Support Grant, Community Events Sponsorship and Community Sponsorship are open until all available funds have been allocated.

From the aftermath of the 2024/25 bushfires, a group of local volunteers formed the "Halls Gap Kitchen Cabinet" to lead recovery efforts across the community. Locals look to restore tourism, morale and community spirit in the traditionally quiet winter months. GLOW - the winter festival is just the thing to warm the hearts of locals and bring new life to Geriward. With more than 170 individual events during July and August, it is a great opportunity for families, couples and friends to attend and enjoy.
