Following the success of the Stawell workshop, council's Community Development and Events & Tourism teams are now bringing the sessions St Arnaud.
 
The workshop is delivered in two parts to ensure we have sufficient time to answer questions and faciliate group discussion. It is also perfect for both new and existing event organisers and people who are interested in running events in the future.
  1. Session one: Wednesday, May 13, 5.45pm to 8pm
  2. Sesion two: Wednesday, May 20, 5.45pm to 8pm
These interactive event planning sessions, called ‘Everything you need to know about hosting successful events', gives people the opportunity to learn from a group of specialists about everything you should consider and plan for to ensure your event is a successful one!
 
There will be several council staff available to share their knowledge and advice, and help break down some common areas of concern.The sessions will use a fictitious event and cover areas such as:
  • Simple, practical steps to plan an event.
  • Permits and registrations, what’s needed and when.
  • Emergency management plans and risk assessments.
  • Waste options and sustainability tips.
  • How council can support and amplify events in the shire.

A light supper will be provided, RSVPs are required for catering purposes. Please register your attendance for either or both of the sessions via the link below.
