World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, WEAAD, is celebrated across the globe on June 15 each year, providing an opportunity for communities to stand together against the abuse, mistreatment and neglect of older people.

Respect is not a matter of age. If you or someone you know is experiencing elder abuse, we encourage you to call 1300 368 821. Together, we can stop elder abuse.

Council’s Thrive 50+ Healthy Ageing Hubs team will host free Elder Abuse Awareness sessions at St Arnaud Senior Citizens Centre on Friday, June 12.

Session is from 12pm to 1pm and include a light lunch. All welcome.
