Following on from the success of our Northern Gramps Girls Can campaign last year where council lit up exercise spaces in the early mornings, several of the shire’s sporting facilities are due to light up again in 2026. Between May 4 and September 30, spaces in Stawell and St Arnaud will light up from 6pm to 7.30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and from 6am and 7am on Wednesday mornings.

Join us in Great Western on Saturday, November 1 from 3pm for a family-friendly afternoon featuring food trucks, live music and some of the region's best artisan producers.
The market will follow on from The Lion Chase fun run event which is taking place around town in the morning, you can see the details for that event here, meaning Great Western is definitely the place to be for the whole day (if not the whole weekend!).
It's being held on the oval at the Great Western Thomson Community Centre on Brunel Street so mark the date in your diaries now and join us for what's shaping up to be a great afternoon.
