This strategy sets out how council will manage waste and recycling services across the shire through to 2030 and has been updated following the conclusion of the Waste and Recycling Service Review conducted in October last year. It also highlights council's proposed rollout of the four-stream waste service (i.e. the introduction of glass and FOGO recycling).

Several council grant funding streams are now open for applications including the Tourism Events Grant which closes on March 9, and the Community Grant, Arts and Culture Grant and Creative Education Fund which all close on March 31. This will be followed by the RunNation adventure film screening, presented by Absolute Outdoors and Gariwerd Trail Running. Gariwerd Trail Running is a not-for-profit community organisation that aims to promote and connect trail runners with the incredible Gariwerd landscape. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Gariwerd Trail Running. RunNation is an original documentary film festival that was founded by a group of local runners in Sydney eight years ago. Since its creation, RunNation has grown from a local festival to a world tour that has screened around the globe. The festival is an original, inspiring event attended by running celebrities, thousands of runners and non-runners around many parts of the world. RunNation receive film submissions from Australia & across the globe and curate them into an incredible two-hour screening. It is not just about running; It is about celebrating the human spirit, using running as a storytelling medium.
