At December's council meeting in St Arnaud, council resolved to review future community care service options in light of sweeping aged care sector reforms. The decision follows Federal Government changes to the way aged care services are funded and delivered, with new rules coming into effect in November. You can find more via the link below.
Join us on Tuesday 17 May and go Rainbow against LGBTQIA+ discrimination for IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Bi-phobia and Transphobia).
This free event features rainbow pavement chalking, rainbow activities, free food and a screening of the film "Rainbow Signpost".
Information about the film:
Rainbow Signpost (2021, recorded by Xin Hu) is a documentary produced in Bendigo by local community members. The film follows the journey of two Trans people and explores the difference between their experiences transitioning including their 40 year generational gap and the impact on the community, society and their significant others.
This event is open to LGBTQIA+ and non LGBTQIA+ community members, allies and film lovers of all ages.
Door prizes for anyone under 19 as well as an optional raffle raising money for LGBTI youth charity Minus18.
