Council will advocate for aged care services in the municipality to be transitioned to local service providers, namely Grampians Community Health and East Wimmera Health Service, following a decision made at the July council meeting in Stawell. There are no immediate changes to any services for current clients and no action required for now.

The Western Victorian Careers Expo is country Victoria’s largest careers expo. Since its inception in 1986, this premier regional event has provided a one-stop-shop of vocational information to Western Victorian students, school leavers, job seekers, career changers, those returning to work and people considering further study or training. The expo traditionally operates on the last Tuesday of Victorian school term 2.
The 2025 Expo will be on: Tuesday 1st July 2025.
Held at: The Wimmera Events Centre / Field Day Site (at Longerenong via Horsham Victoria).
