Northern Grampians Shire residents can influence council's 2026/27 budget by reviewing and providing feedback on the proposed council plan year two priorities. This process is different from previous years where residents traditionally had an opportunity to provide submissions to a draft budget. Feedback closes at 4pm Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Council invites you to join us to celebrate and honour local achievements at our annual Australia Day ceremonies in St Arnaud and Stawell on Monday, January 26. There are also partner events across the shire in townships such as Navarre, Stuart Mill and Marnoo.
A weekend of events celebrating the grand piano at the Stawell Entertainment Centre.
Saturday April 27 - A Night on the Grand - Contemporary Music Concert Time: 7pm - 9pm
Led by local young musician Lani Raine - the concert will feature tertiary level musicians performing in a number of styles, the piano combining with vocals and additional instruments. Tickets $18-20
Sunday April 28 - Open Day on the Grand Time: 9am - 3pm
Players of all ages and ability can book a time to play on the grand piano - Tickets $15 Family, friends and community members are welcome to join the audience - Tickets $5
