Halls Gap Arts Collective

The Halls Gap Arts Collective will host a series of eight professional skills-based workshops run by local artists. The workshops aim to bring professional, locally based artists together through an expression of interest process to develop eight workshops over a 12-month period.

 

Traditionally, artists tend to work in their own studios with limited connection to the broader arts community. The workshops will also encourage local and visitor participation. The funds will be used to build a greater connection through artist dinners and community projects identified through their recent planning session and would be the first project for the group. 

 

The project involves holding workshops at the Recreation Reserve. They have offered us a permanent home and through this developing partnership we will develop new connections between the sporting and arts communities.
