Nestled among the spectacular Grampians landscape, Halls Gap Zoo is Victoria’s largest privately owned regional zoo and home to more than 120 species and 500 individual native and exotic animals.

 

From red pandas and meerkats to rhinos and otters, the Zoo’s unique animal encounters give visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife — one of the things that makes Halls Gap Zoo so special. 

 

With 44 years of operation coming up this Boxing Day, current owners Mark and Lisa are proud to be the fourth ownership group and custodians of this much-loved local attraction.

 

Beyond the animals, Mark and Lisa say one of their favourite things about operating in Halls Gap is the strong local business connections, collaboration and support, as well as the friendliness and generosity of the local community.
