Council is creating a long-term plan for the Stawell Entertainment Centre to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the community for many years to come and better understand how people use the venue. A community survey is available until 5pm on Wednesday, September 30 for people to share their feedback and inform the future of the facility and the services and equipment available.

Following the successful delivery of the Stawell Shopfront Improvement Program in 2024, Council is excited to announce that the program will be delivered to six businesses in St Arnaud in 2025.
To apply for the program, please read the guidelines and submit an expression of interest by Wednesday, 25 June. You can submit your expression of interest via email to emma.howlett@ngshire.vic.gov.au or deliver to the St Arnaud Customer Service Centre.
To deliver this program, council has engaged retail design consultants, Pop Creative Collective, who will work with individual business owners to enhance the presentation of their shopfronts. This includes but not limited to professionally-designed business branding, updated signage, visual merchandising for window displays, and other general improvements, depending on the unique needs of each participating business.
Stawell 2024 Program
Six businesses in Stawell that participated in the pilot Shopfront Improvement Program. The program was funded by council with contributions from the businesses. It was established to assist businesses within Stawell to improve the vibrancy of individual shops, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the overall look and feel of the town.
