Swim and Survive Partnership

Our Swim and Survive program is delivered by qualified swim teachers who ensure that essential water safety, personal survival and basic rescue skills are taught to all enrolled students. Our teachers make lessons fun, while helping all participants develop a strong and effective swimming techniques.

Swim and Survive is a water safety initiative provided by Royal Life Saving Victoria and designed to increase swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity.

The Little Wonder program is for infants and preschoolers. The program allows students to learn skills that align with motor skills learnt at each development age. Find out more here. 

• Adult Swimming Lessons

We provide Learn to Swim programs for adults on request. Please reach out to us via ssac@ngshire.vic.gov.au for further information.

• School Groups

Our facilities provide a variety of programs specially designed for local schools. Programs can be custom designed to cater for each school's need. The classes can be organised at SSAC year-round or at the St Arnaud seasonal pool throughout the summer months. For schools, we tailor swimming lessons, lane hire, swimming carnivals and pool parties. Please reach out to us for further information via ssac@ngshire.vic.gov.au.

Gentle Aqua Class

We currently offer a Gentle Aqua class for $8pp twice a week on a Monday and a Thursday at 10.45am which are delivered by our personal trainers, Penny and Jo.

Water Aerobics Class

We also offer a Water Aerobics class every Monday at 6pm which is delivered by Penny. This is $13pp (concession fee) or $16pp (standard fee).

You can also purchase a 10x class pass for both classes which essentially gives you a FREE class. This option is perfect for those who might not be in a position to sign-up for a fortnightly membership but would like to come and enjoy the class more regularly.

Sensory Play (for kids)

Available every Tuesday between 9am and 10am is a program called Sensory Play which is perfect for infants under 12 months of age or toddlers who are yet to start swimming lessons. Whilst not a formal lesson, there is a staff member in the pool with the group to provide advice and assist with making your child feel comfortable around water should you need it. 

For just $5pp per visit with no ongoing commitment required, or FREE if you're signed up for swimming lessons, there's a range of toys provided to help stimulate their sensors in the pool and keep them entertained. It's also a great opportunity for friends or people in a Mother's Group to connect each week.
