Swim and Survive Partnership
Our Swim and Survive program is delivered by qualified swim teachers who ensure that essential water safety, personal survival and basic rescue skills are taught to all enrolled students. Our teachers make lessons fun, while helping all participants develop a strong and effective swimming techniques.
Swim and Survive is a water safety initiative provided by Royal Life Saving Victoria and designed to increase swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity.

Learn to Swim Program (4+ years)
The Learn to Swim program is for children aged 4 years and above. The students in this program will work through Levels 1 - 12.
We also offer a squad program; the squad class is a one-hour long session and is for any student that has completed Level 7 and above in our program. Find out more here.
Our teenage program caters for children 10 to 17 years with a focus on bridging the gap with their swimming skills while creating a welcoming space for older students free from potential unease about learning a skill which their peers may already be confident with. This will allow children to learn to swim with other people of a similar age and experience level, instead of being placed into a lesson based on their skill level which will likely be with younger students. Please call the centre on (03) 5358 0500 or email ssac@ngshire.vic.gov.au to find out more.
We provide Learn to Swim programs for adults on request. Please reach out to us via ssac@ngshire.vic.gov.au for further information.
Our facilities provide a variety of programs specially designed for local schools. Programs can be custom designed to cater for each school's need. The classes can be organised at SSAC year-round or at the St Arnaud seasonal pool throughout the summer months. For schools, we tailor swimming lessons, lane hire, swimming carnivals and pool parties. Please reach out to us for further information via ssac@ngshire.vic.gov.au.
