Northern Grampians Shire Council held its council meeting on Monday, 4 April 2022 in person in the Council Chambers, Pleasant Creek Historic Precinct in Stawell at 12.30pm.

Draft St Arnaud Tourism Action Plan

Council endorsed the draft St Arnaud Tourism Action Plan 2022-32 and this plan will be available for public consultation for the next four weeks.

Stawell Grampians Gate Caravan Park Lease Renewed

Council endorsed the new 21-year lease agreement for Braaauer Management Pty Ltd to manage the Stawell Grampians Gate Caravan Park Lease.

CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee

Council formalised the established of a CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee that will see at least three councillors and an independent member appointed to the committee. This committee will consider reports, recommendations and obligations concerning the employment, management and remuneration of the CEO and also determine a rate of remuneration for the independent member.

Planning Officer Authorisation

Council endorsed the appointment of Virginia McLeod as an authorised Planning Officer in accordance with section 147 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987. Virginia is the Coordinator Sustainable Development and requires this authorisation to facilitate the planning component of her role.

Formal Road Naming Process Returned to Community for further consultation

Cr Emerson moved that the naming of the unnamed road off King and Hills Streets Stawell to Boothey Street returns to the public consultation phase after alternative names were submitted by the community during the public notice period.

Outcome of Closed Council Section

  • Council awarded the tender C10.20212022 supply and install sewer pump station Sloane Street Stawell.
