Council will advocate for aged care services in the municipality to be transitioned to local service providers, namely Grampians Community Health and East Wimmera Health Service, following a decision made at the July council meeting in Stawell. There are no immediate changes to any services for current clients and no action required for now.

If you haven't experienced the St Arnaud Cup yet...this is your opportunity to attend one of Victoria's country race meeting gems. You might be a racing fan or simply looking for a day out and to have a good time. The Mini Marquee & Umbrella Precinct provides a fun atmosphere for those looking to host their Hens Day, Bucks Day or end of year Football or Netball trip or you might be looking to celebrate a birthday or special occasion at the races. You are close to the racing action here, the bar, the band and all the race day energy. If you are after a race day package that is a one stop shop - the Pittsburgh Pirate Winning Post Marquee is the package for you. Logistics... A town courtesy bus operates on race day and departs the car park behind the Town Hall from 11.30am and completes round trips to the Racecourse until approximately 3pm. After the races, return trips into town commence from 6.30pm back to the Town Hall car park (last bus at 7.30pm). Bookings are not required for this bus. All are welcome.
