Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee
Local government plays a crucial role in emergency management, both in partnership with other levels of government and emergency services, and through our own responsibilities.
The Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee (MEMPC) is responsible for preparing the Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP), a multi-agency plan for our municipal district.
The MEMPC consists of members from various emergency agencies including Victoria Police, Country Fire Authority (CFA), Victoria State Emergency Service (SES). It also has representatives from council and the community.
