Council is creating a long-term plan for the Stawell Entertainment Centre to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the community for many years to come and better understand how people use the venue. A community survey is available until 5pm on Wednesday, September 30 for people to share their feedback and inform the future of the facility and the services and equipment available.

The table below provides a guide for the year your child can start three-year-old kinder and pre-prep (previously known as four-year-old kinder).
Children are eligible to attend Three-Year-Old Kindergarten if they turn three before April 30, however, they cannot start attending until their third birthday.
For children born between January 1 and April 30, families can choose whether their child starts Three-Year-Old Kindergarten in the year they turn three, or wait until the following year so their child can complete a full year of the program.
Children learn and develop at different rates, therefore some may benefit from starting kindergarten a little later. It is important that children are ready to move on to school after kindergarten. For this reason, parents and carers should carefully consider the best time for their child to start kindergarten.
