At St Arnaud Kindergarten, we are inclusive and warmly welcome all children and families to the centre. We strongly value and respect the relationships we form with children, families and the local community.
St Arnaud Kindergarten has been providing high quality kindergarten services for more than 50 years.
Our integrated Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep environments offer a stimulating indoor and outdoor setting that encourages children to explore, engage and learn.
Our play-based curriculum, led by bachelor-qualified teachers, fosters opportunities for children to create, experiment, discover, explore, investigate, express ideas, and solve problems with the support of their teachers. The kindergarten plans various incursions and excursions throughout the year encompassing a bush kinder experience, school orientation program, sport, music and animals/wildlife themes.
St Arnaud Kindergarten aims to support all areas of learning and development, instill a sense of worth and assurance in every child, preparing them for a smooth transition to school life and beyond.
As part of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life initiative, the St Arnaud Kindergarten offers:
-
Three-Year-Old Kindergarten: 15 hours of funded kindergarten per week, delivered over two sessions of 7.5 hours each (8.30am to 4pm).
-
Pre-Prep (formerly 4-Year-Old Kindergarten): 22.5 hours per week, delivered over three sessions of 7.5 hours each (8.30am to 4pm).
Northern Grampians Shire is one of six selected areas rolling out Pre-Prep in 2025, and we are excited to be part of this initiative.
