The Northern Grampians Shire Council Municipal Early Years Plan 2026-31 will bring together local government, early years and community health services, schools and families under a shared vision for Northern Grampians.
The Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre (SSAC) has been a cornerstone of community sport and recreation for over 50 years. Built in the 1980s, the aquatic and leisure facility is outdated, inefficient and reaching its end of its life requiring significant investment to upgrade the amenities.
RES Australia Pty Ltd proposes the Watta Wella Renewable Energy project in north-west Victoria, located approximately 16km north-east of Stawell. The Project will consist of a co-located wind farm and battery energy storage system as well as associated infrastructure. Public comment is invited until 11:59pm on March 27, 2026.
Renewable energy zones are being proposed by the State Government to coordinate the delivery of renewable power sources as coal phases out. VicGrid has run an 18-month consultation process as part of developing the 2025 Victorian Transmission Plan. The Minister for Energy and Resources is inviting another round of feedback for consideration before formally declaring each zone.
