Council's Community Development, Events and Tourism teams are hosting an interactive event planning session called ‘Everything you need to know about hosting successful events'.

Come along and learn from a group of specialists about everything you should consider and plan for to ensure your event is a successful one! This is perfect for both new and existing event organisers and people who are interested in running events in the future.

There will be several council staff available to share their knowledge and advice, and help break down some common areas of concern.

The interactive session will use a fictitious event and cover areas such as:  

  • Simple, practical steps to plan an event.
  • Permits and registrations, what is needed and when.
  • Emergency management plans and risk assessments.
  • Waste options and sustainability tips.
  • How council can support and amplify events in the shire. 

A light super will be provided meaning RSVPs are required for catering purposes. Please register your attendance via the link below.
