To help you understand more about local councils and their role in building stronger local communities, the Victorian Government has put together a web-based 'guide' to local government.
The website is a great way for you to learn more about local government and to understand what council is doing in our community every day.
It has information about how the council works, how we make decisions, what services we are responsible for delivering, how we are funded, and much more.
