Council will advocate for aged care services in the municipality to be transitioned to local service providers, namely Grampians Community Health and East Wimmera Health Service, following a decision made at the July council meeting in Stawell. There are no immediate changes to any services for current clients and no action required for now.
Stawell Secondary College is a Victorian Government Secondary School with 400 students in Years 7 to 12. A balanced range of Year 12 studies is available to meet the varied needs of students, with students being encouraged to commence their VCE, Vocational Major or trade certificates from Year 10 to fulfil their career aspirations. Every student has their own pathway to the future and our aim is to provide the opportunities for each and every student to achieve success in their chosen field. The College offers a range of extra-curricular opportunities, ranging from our music program to our extensive array of sporting activities such as athletics, swimming, cycling, basketball and others. We also have a developing International Students program with students from varying countries studying in the school and staying with Australian families.
