Interested in becoming a rescue and transport volunteer at Wildlife Victoria? Rescuers attend to injured, sick, or orphaned native animals. They assess the situation and then (if needed) capture, contain, and then transport the animal to a vet. To be a rescuer you will need to be comfortable handling wild animals and liaising with members of the public. Step 1. Choose your preferred training event from the links below, then follow the links to register and pay. (10 mins) $50 standard $30 concession Plus optional $50 basic rescue kit. Step 3. Once you have registered and paid, Volunteer Services will send you a confirmation email with all event details.
