Free Community Insurance Information Session | Halls Gap + surrounds

Grampians Community Health (GCH) - Northern Grampians Shire Council Recovery Team has organised a Community Information Session with Disaster Legal Help to support Halls Gap and surrounding residents regarding insurance challenges and grievances after the December/January bushfire.

Disaster Legal Help Victoria (DLHV) will be on-hand, along with Ballarat and Grampians Community Legal Service and Victoria Legal Aid.

Come to this free session at the Halls Gap Hub on Wednesday, June 25 from 5pm to 6.30pm. Learn how to get legally prepared for fires, floods and storms.

You will be shown how to:

• Make an insurance claim after a disaster and ways you can escalate or resolve disputes.
• Check your insurance policy and understand what it covers.
• Prepare documentation, such as passport, birth certificate, drivers licence etc.
